What’s Buzz-worthy: What a crazy box but I only know that because I opened a second. This one? Its Illusions pack  was a box-topper so apparently even those are in play. The Illusions packs should give you a roughly 50-50 shot at a hit based on the hobby boxes, though that will be a tad lower with these box-topper packs also in play. Another reason this particular box is apparently better than the norm? These boxes don't guarantee hits. (My second box did not have a topper pack, did not have a hit in the Illusions pack and was hitless in the Donruss. Look for that box at a later time.) These mega boxes are $5 more than a blaster and actually include fewer cards than blasters but offer a little more potential. Their only exclusives are Bronze base parallels and Green Rookie Phenom cards. Hits aren't guaranteed (based on my second box) and you are supposed to get three Bronzes per box here. (This one had four.) The array of inserts in these is a bit higher in volume than the blasters (very good thing as I thought those were dry) but they still might be consistently topped by the jersey hanger boxes ($15) which have a guaranteed hit and about the same amount of inserts. The X-factor in these is clearly the one bonus pack -- I was surprised to get a topper. These will tempt me probably one or two more times this season at retail thanks to a strong start with this one.
