What's Buzz-worthy: Donruss is back on the track with a subset-loaded release that's full of variations -- easy pulls that help make them fun and not a burden as they are easy to spot -- with plenty inside a box that feels like it's not the norm. That makes this a fun rip, especially when you land ink for your guaranteed hit like this one. The variations for standard cards are easy to spot -- the names or nicknames are centered -- while the 1985 Retro subset cards carry nicknames. The set leads off with Race Kings, then five Rated Rookies, base drivers, base cars, Retro cards and then Legends. There are 25 variations atop those 175 cards, giving you a bit of a challenge but ultimately a fun challenge that's far from impossible. This is one I'll rip in hobby form at some point this season -- and I may revisit last year's, too, which was a little more loose in the turns but still fun.
