What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz was spoiled with a Mega Box before busting this one and, while Optic still has plenty of fun elements the blaster boxes just aren't as good as those and there's no guaranteed auto here. The exclusives here? Pink parallels, which are found in every pack. There's plenty of star power and still some variety of what can still be inside these packs and there are a number of variations to be found throughout all of the card types here, which add to the fun. How do you know you have a variation if it's not obvious? Check the backs and look for black baseballs instead of white ones -- see gallery. If you don't find Mega Boxes, these are still worth a look, though there's no guarantee of ink. (Autos do appear possible based on the breakdown panel.) With the strong rookie crop, the variations and the parallels, these boxes have strong potential just like the other boxes but it won't happen as easily. The Pink parallels are strong and popular, too, so there can be some solid finds here. Just like Donruss, Optic offers a fun collector-minded experience where it's not all about money potential -- though it's in there with the Prizms and the ink -- it's more about surprises, variety and fun.
