What’s Buzz-worthy: I can't stop, won't stop with these ... as long as they are in stock (they aren't at the moment) and are on sale (they were). Why? Simplicity. You get three 1/1 proof cards per box every time here and the recent sale had them at less than $10 a card and while that's not super-cheap if you land a lesser name it's a steal if you land a top name because there will inevitably be enough interest to come out ahead if you're a seller. This particular box? It's probably closer to the average stuff, though you can find other Loaf cards at $5.99 and $25 on eBay -- that shows you the divide of potential and perceived interest here. If I were a big fan of Mr. Loaf (first name Meat, last name Loaf) I could pick off two other shades right now ... but I won't do that. The dual here? It might spark some Happy Days for some but I could chase other shades also inexpensively. The last card here? A bit more modern -- a nod to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but she's also been in a ton more stuff since then. ... If you've never pulled a 1/1 card, this is one for you -- and you can also hunt these on the relatively cheap as singles ... something that could make for fun projects if you're focused. (I'm more of a casual ripper, seeking the surprise of what I might find.) As said before, these are the proof cards used before Leaf Trading Cards' latest Pop Century product was printed and the cards were signed -- blank-back cards that are encased in Leaf holders. ... These are Leaf-specific slabs and about the only drawback on these is that there's not a sleeve inside the slab. ... There are a number of stars here who would pay for a box or two based on recent eBay sales and it seems there might be a better up-side here for celebs vs. sports stars. There's no ink here but they're still fun adds on the cheap -- and that may not happen further as eBay auctions for these boxes reached as high as $52.50 a box earlier this year. Somebody is buying them up so they won't last long.
