What's Buzz-worthy: This one might go down as one of my most under-appreciated releases of the year. This one is easily a contender for the most-improved brand vs. the previous year in that this update-everything release (one that even offers updates brands that didn't previously exist) has been flipped on its head. The base cards are few and the majority of inclusions here are cards from countless brands all in one place. Last year, it was a lot of base cards with the inserts being other sets. ... The Revolution cards are only found in blasters and it's a 25-card set that's stacked with All-Stars from the present as well as the past (Ken Griffey Jr., Mickey Mantle) and key rookies such as Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies and Shohei Ohtani. I pulled a Mantle in my bonus pack and I just might grade it for fun -- gotta go a louped inspection later -- but this box was a little dry on the rookie front despite delivering a hit, which I don't think happens in a majority of boxes. As I said in my other recent box of this one, I'll pick off more of these blasters if they're still around -- so expect a few more breaks here (despite my new year's resolution to do fewer blasters) -- and a hobby box is more on my radar than ever now.
