What's Buzz-worthy: Want a near-hobby experience on the cheap? Find one of these one-pack blaster boxes at retail. While I'm not aways a fan of one-pack boxes, these include plenty -- two hits, two serial-numbered cards and one parallel only found here. (Hobby boxes include a total of 10 hits in five packs, so this break is similar but with less ink.) This box included a rare auto, a mem card of the guy on the box, No. 1 overall pick Casey Mize, and a Pink parallel. It's not a lot of cardboard but it's an interesting rip. If you get two base cards (/999) and they are found elsewhere in hobby packs, then the Pinks might be much rarer than even the base. Consider that it would take you one in 200 boxes to land any particular guy on the checklist and you should realize how important a key player might be in Pink (though prospectors have a ton of options these days). This one seems interesting but not as strong as my first one but it still didn't feel lacking. The auto is of a guy who hasn't yet signed but apparently has potential, though the card back here is about international players and doesn't have a lot of details about him ... a true cardboard enigma. These packs feel like a simple rip worth a look, especially when you consider that there are a lot of $30 (or more) retail boxes these days that may or may not include one hit, let alone two. I'll be ripping more of these to see how consistent they might be when/if I see them, though you get more ink by ripping into hobby packs (link above) with eight autos per box there.
