What's Buzz-worthy: I believe this is the first time that Playbook has hit retail and it's as a premium-priced ($30) blaster that guarantees one auto or memorabilia card and, at a glance, seems like an oddity and one that left me wondering why it cost more than others. I checked the side panel of the box and it notes there that the base set here as well as the rookies are retail-only cards along with Green, Gold and Red parallels. My box doesn't seem like anything over average other than a Mahomes appearance and I landed a Broncos jersey card for what feels like the fifth consecutive new box that I've opened this season. If you land the big-name rookies here, a box could do pretty well if there's interest and they aren't found elsewhere. There are also jumbo packs of this one at retail, so they might not be as limited as some other brands at retail this year. The rookies seem like the key here. Maybe there will be other inclusions to present themselves here and impress me over time, but, for me, Playbook is about the books -- so I'd say go hobby on this one.
