What's Buzz-worthy: This is my first rip into this one, which was a Target-exclusive on the retail front last year as it is now, and it's one that follows closely the formula of previous years but with a few things switched around for this one vs., say, 2017. The blasters include a memorabilia card each time (a pricier box guaranteed more) with Red base parallels only found in this format. If you land one of the notable rookies -- Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield among them -- in Red, then the rest is gravy, though there is a decent amount of this stuff out there so it's not some major-money brand ... it's merely one that's more for fun and that's a good thing in today's sometimes big-bucks, rip-and-flip environment. I did get a Mayfield sighting here on an insert in my final pack but this one was a somewhat dry break. I did get a couple of "name" rookies who aren't all that pricey as well as some decent names among the inserts. The base cards also delivered a decent amount of star power, though these boxes should as you get basically half of the (basic non-rookies portion) set in this format. I like the insert volume here and the basic set design is closer to traditional framing but still with a number of touches that give it some more detail compared to some brands out there that are far more popular. If you spot these in the wild, the rookies and inserts alone make it one to consider. However, if you're sold based on what you see rip into hobby boxes at the link above for more guaranteed stuff in this one.
