What's Buzz-worthy: This USA box was a little bit of an oddity compared to others I have opened of late in that it did not include an extra hit this time -- just the standard five. But, the Madrigal auto is a nice find as he's playing week and then the Riggio patch is a nice card for a guy who has draft potential this year. The rest of the box? Not that flashy and actually oddly repetitive unlike others I have opened ... but USA always has good potential. Why rip this one? These are the home of cards of Kumar Rocker, a Vanderbilt pitcher who's a contender to be the No. 1 overall pick along with teammate Jack Leiter. They are pricey right now because they have been playing well but they won't have other cards until later in the year so this is the home for the key stuff around draft time. There's a lot to be found here -- even some ink from past USA players who you'll know from their MLB careers -- as well as young prospects and young stars. It's worth the rip if you're looking for some decent hit volume and big-ink potential without spending big money. (Leiter's appearance has the 2019 boxes scorchers at the moment as his stuff, like Rocker, is worth a serious look.)
