What's Buzz-worthy: Just as I've said before on breaks like this one, these encased buyback cards aren't wrapped in any way inside the boxes so once you flip the lid you know what you have -- and, to me, that's the fun part of this relatively affordable product that has upside to it due to scarcity of card volumes signed and a number of notable names on the signers' list. The cool part here in some instances? You'll find vintage cards that were signed, too. Among the signers here include Hank Aaron, Jeff Bagwell, Johnny Bench, Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens, Rickey Henderson, Bo Jackson, Derek Jeter, Randy Johnson, Chipper Jones, Sandy Koufax, Mark McGwire, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Jim Thome and plenty more who aren't Hall of Fame caliber. (This box is probably closer to that category, though Martinez does get Hall talk at times.) You'll also find a number of players only on 1/1 autos -- guys like Don Drysdale, Eddie Mathews, Pee Wee Reese, Warren Spahn and Ted Williams to name a few. It's a relatively low-risk product if you can land the boxes cheap and there can be some good returns if you have some luck on your side. At worst, you'll have a new on-card encased autograph in your stash from a player who fans might remember pretty well.
