What's Buzz-worthy: This one delivered pretty well -- better coming from the bargain bin -- but this isn't the best format to chase in this one. That's the collector's box (link above) that guarantees you two autographs every time and a shot at some original art in the box-topper pack. The Artist Proof parallels are only found in this format and that pack delivered well with three rookies who delivered pretty well and a couple of other notable RCs on the standard stuff. There are also Ronald Acuña Jr. appearances to be had here but that wasn't to be this time. This set has grown on me more since back when it arrived. ... As said last time I ripped (a collector's box), I think there are some masterful cardboard creations here. Sure, there are some pieces of art that are stronger than others -- and some of that is the media that the five artists use. But the typography used on the card fronts here as well as the foil and spot gloss are among the best I've seen. The card backs are a little busy but packed with a good amount of info -- I'd rather have that than them being vacant as is the case in some brands out there these days. ... Yes, art-based sets aren't everybody's thing out there, but I think it's good to have a variety of options for collectors of varying tastes.
