What's Buzz-worthy: This blaster box can't really compare with the Monster box we ripped here earlier in the week but the general feel of the cards aside from the inserts is about the same. Save for a few highlight players in the base cards, the selection was quite bland player-wise, though GQ might be as aesthetically strong as ever. The rookies here were almost as high-volume as the Monster box but Amed Rosario's presence here might make it better than the other box. It appears a lot of the hobby finds are also potentially found here with standard autographs one in every nine boxes or so just like the Monster boxes. Design-wise, this might be the best GQ set, but it needs more variety -- something along the lines of minis -- to add to the packs. The short-prints (Nos. 301-320) are one in 48 packs here, so even that chase isn't something to check each pack for like it is in Heritage -- if you get a dud pack at least you might add an SP to your set. If you like Gypsy Queen's past, you'll like this one -- it's solid but not super-flashy inside every box. Tearing into hobby boxes might be your best bet for this one if you're in it for the chase of something big.
