What's Buzz-worthy: After having torn into Monster boxes and blaster boxes of this one, it's clear that the hobby is the definite best option as it offers a full array of inserts to give a meaty box the most variety -- though it may still not be enough -- and the Monster boxes are probably a 1B. In all boxes I've ripped, I've yet to pull a Shohei Ohtani Rookie Card -- but this one delivered big with a Black and White parallel of that card. Surprisingly, it's not that pricey of a card despite there being only 50 made, but this box also included three other variations and a variation autograph, which helped a lot. This was a solid box but it may not be the best A-graded box we've torn into here. It can be topped, though big pulls are definitely not super-easy finds here. There are autographed game-used base Relics, autographed sock Relics, sketch cards with patch Relics embedded into them, an array of parallels, variations and so much more. The design of this one is among the best for GQ releases, too, though it still feels like a brand that's built with the hobby breaks in mind first -- and even those can be dry at times -- where other box formats definitely feel like they need more beyond a pack of parallels. This is a solid release that GQ and retro-minded fans will like -- and there's plenty for hit-chasers, too -- I just feel like these boxes need to include more variety.
