What's Buzz-worthy: This highly anticipated release presented just two blaster boxes on the shelf for me and I grabbed them both. The first pack of this one included a one-in-830-pack trade variation of a guaranteed Hall of Famer -- instant A+ box right there -- but then it added an Acuña insert in the second pack and a Relic (one in 62 packs) in the third. Atop that, the meaty stack of Rookie Cards included a Gleyber Torres and those RCs helped make up for a lean crop of veterans in this one. (Again, this set should be more than 200 cards -- All-Star highlights and other moments deserve Heritage treatment if you ask me.) The crazy part of my Heritage High experience so far? My second blaster box also had a Relic -- again I just grabbed both -- while a pair of Hanger boxes (you'll see them here soon, too) yielded yet another Relic. I hesitated to give this product an A+ but it's delivering well for me right now and it's one that's stacked with Rookie Cards from a relatively small set, meaning they won't be the toughest pulls. (It could hurt the value ... but it will satisfy demand.) The reason I did give it an A+? Topps finally labeling the variations on the backs to help simplify the hunt. It's a simple move and it could have been done years ago. The odds are up here a bit -- autographs are one in 411 or basically one in four blaster cases -- but the fact that you can land almost everything here in retail (yes, odds can be long) is another reason I think it's a winner. You can land all of the fun variations in these -- the odds aren't easy -- but it's a solid way to end a tribute to MLB in 1969 after a very strong start. Hobby boxes are the way to go with this one with their better odds and guaranteed inclusions but this one is proof that blaster boxes can definitely deliver, too.
