What's Buzz-worthy: This format is probably the least-intriguing way to chase the big cards in Heritage but for the price (about $80 for one of eight sealed sleeves in a case) this was a decent way to build a set and see what else might be in there -- and it delivered pretty well. Autographs aren't guaranteed in every hobby box and they're one in 126 packs here, so this factory-sealed tray definitely over-delivered with the ink and looks like a bargain thanks to the luck. Everything else delivered as it should have and it included a full set with a number of duplicates that can deliver extras with the Rookie Card depth. (This one had two Shohei Ohtani RCs.) As said before, a big reason I gave this one an A+ was Topps finally labeling the variations on the backs to help simplify the hunt. It's a simple move and it could have been done years ago. You can find many of the fun variations in these -- the odds aren't easy -- but it's a solid way to end a tribute to MLB in 1969 after a very strong start. Hobby boxes are the way to go with this one with their better odds and guaranteed inclusions but this is a product that can deliver.
