What's Buzz-worthy: Curiosity got me Acuña Hunting™ once again and it paid off ... with a card that's a far rarer find and I didn't even initially realize it -- I just knew the photo wasn't the right one. It wasn't a Ronald Acuña Jr. bat-down short-print that I found here -- I've still not seen ironclad proof from more than one source that it made it into any format of retail packs -- but instead I landed a one in 893 pack (one in 90 boxes) Shohei Ohtani "super short-print" photo variation card. In addition to this, I also found a standard short-print (one in three boxes) for Freddie Freeman and a good rundown of inserts. The base set isn't all that big of a deal in this one though it does have some key names -- but it's no Topps Update. This box does show you some of the possibilities, though. The mystery is whether Acuña is one of the SSPs in retail at all ... those boxes are still out there -- and at the link above.
