What's Buzz-worthy: My Zion Williamson-less streak seemed like it could have been over with this one when my first pack here yielded four Rookie Cards and a rookie insert ... but no. (That visual I used up top was a decoy.) I'm up to 115 packs from a few NBA brands that all have not included the big guy, meanwhile I can say I liked his brand perhaps better than some of the others I've opened. These packs are only at Dollar Tree ($1 apiece) and I'm pretty sure that there is no other retail component for this product otherwise. (I've seen nothing.) While the hobby packs are hit-driven and the base cards are all on foilboard, these are cleanly and crisply presented on white stock with gold-foil accents. It's clean and they can be handled without having to wipe off fingerprints afterward. The set is small -- do-able for sure -- and the only inserts are the 25 Yellow Rookies. How simple is this one? Consider this ... in theory 25 perfectly collated packs would yield you a master set for retail. Think about that -- can that happen in any other new set today. For a few reasons, this is my big sleeper pick for NBA right now in the long term. Right now prices for even Zion can be on the cheap side but I'd bet that a lot of people don't even know these exist and that's why those are a tad soft. Over the long haul, these should get shredded pretty well to chase those key RCs and the print run can't be anywhere near the size of other releases that have a full retail presence.

Product Grade: A+ (solid design and plenty of stuff here between retail and hobby)

Fun Grade: B+ (simplicity on the cheap here ... and it can deliver)
