What's Buzz-worthy: I entered this rip with a Zion-less NBA streak of more than 120 packs of zilch across several brands but this box made up for that and delivered a lot more. My Pink packs here started strong with a Giannis right on top but not a whole lot else to show for the "mega" part of the box here save for some good volume on rookies within those 10 cards, though I suspect they could be streakier and better than just three. My Williamson Rated Rookie came a couple packs after that -- ending my streak at roughly 0-for-123 -- with him arriving right on top. The box coughed up another surprise, a parallel insert toward the end. In between it included some solid Rated Rookie appearances, too, and a solid number of Prizm parallels on my insert cards. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but I'll take it. I have only ripped and seen one of these boxes ($37.48 at Walmart) so I'm not sure if the Checkerboard parallels arrive regularly or not (they have been rare in the past here). The Pinks are the big draw here along with the safety of pack volume -- 50 Rated Rookies should flow well here and this box did -- and neither retail format includes any guaranteed hits. (They are possible ... wait for my first Optic blaster to come soon.) Possible parallels here were all seen in this box -- Holo, Checkerboard and Pink -- and all of the inserts have either Holo or Purple versions per the back of the box. Signature Series Green autos appear to the only hit possibility here. Like Prizm, I think this one is a solid release this year and I actually like it better on the Rookie Card front in both how it delivers and how they look cleaner. Some of the photos are a little funky -- Zion among them. Simplicity goes a long way with this one's inclusions and hobby boxes deliver that and a ton more -- hit that link up top for a shot at those blazing-hot boxes. All formats should deliver pretty well on the basics -- and that's a good place to start with this one. I'd expect it to be plentiful (like Prizm) but not as available as people clear shelves and stockpile unopened boxes to sell. It doesn't hurt that the rookie crop here (in this set and in this box) is doing pretty well.
