What's Buzz-worthy: Hoops has gone Premium Stock -- aka Optichrome -- for this one and it's a format that could mean some strong boxes here or some lean ones as the overall set is 300 cards but you get only four cards per pack. If you land one of the top rookies, you should be OK or if you land notable veterans you might do OK, too. This one? It included non-guaranteed ink, a LeBron James insert, a James base card and some others of note in the mix. My Rookie Cards weren't the greatest here so this obviously strong box is an A+ yet it still could be topped. I like the look and feel of these more than I thought I would and this is obviously one big end-of-season retail force and a premium-seller in other formats. Really, it can't lose as showcasing good photos on Chromium can't hurt and there are parallels that will be scorchers with the right names attached. I did a bunch of NBA this year and this one will be a break for me as (if) I see it in the coming weeks. A new season's NBA cards will be here very soon, too, but for now I'd lean toward these as those RCs are strong.
