What's Buzz-worthy: My first look at Mosaic NBA this year started with a bang -- two of the top rookies in the box as well as a rare serial-numbered parallel of an all-time great. Those get it an A+ from me despite the fact that the Zion Williamson here has a couple of small surface gashes (at right) that I'll probably have to attempt to get replaced. The basic design here is super simple -- almost oldschool Pacific in its feel -- but with a Prizm approach. The basic set is 200 cards and then the 100 topping that are from a number of subsets that arrive relatively often together but I'll note them as SPs here. The Mosaic Prizms arrive four times (all colors) in this format while the Orange Fluorescent Mosaic Prizm cards are only found in blasters. Also possibly found here are Scripts and Rookie Scripts autos and each of the inserts and subsets also have their parallels to chase here. It's simpler in feel and this release has been a pricey one so far as it was only partially done when COVID-19 things shut down production for Panini's printing and packing facilities. I found these fresh to the retail aisle just today ... so more is apparently coming. (And as long as my caffeine kicks in, you'll see more of Mosaic here today.)
