What's Buzz-worthy: It took me a few patient days to land one of these boxes for the hottest release on the planet right now and while I didn't land the biggest rookie of them all in Zion Williamson I did land a couple of other notable former Duke Blue Devils who are going to be sought and slabbed heavily from this one in any color they are found. The FOTL arrival of this one took things high-end yesterday with a premium format and hobby boxes arrive tomorrow, making this a well-timed arrival and look at things here. This is a Target version of the Mega Box, so it includes 14 Red Ice Prizms as well as four Silver Prizms in every box. These boxes are only six packs but they are meaty packs -- a good feel for the price -- with several parallels and inserts in each one with the veterans on the top and the Rookie Cards on the bottom. The star power here was apparently with both the past and present -- I landed Pete Maravich (a favorite of mine) along with Trae Young (a favorite of many after last year) in my first two packs and the Rookie Cards flowed well from there. My base star selection perhaps wasn't the strongest but it did include some notables from the past and present but the rookies delivered well. I liked the look of the Red cards here -- Walmart has a different color, Pink, at a slightly lower price -- and the overall volume of parallels makes this format alluring for the price if you can find them. There are no other colors of parallels here but you can find autographed cards, Penmanship autos, Rookie Penmanship autos and then the array of insert sets with Silver and then Green Prizms possible. The rookie crop here is key both in the short- and long-term as Prizm is easily the go-t0 brand for many NBA collectors for RCs and parallels -- and even moreso with slabbed cards. If you spot these in the wild, dig in -- and scout for the next wave, too if you can -- and you can look for even more color and insanity in this one when hobby drops tomorrow. While it might be tempting to simply collect and hold boxes with this one, it's also a brand that's worth ripping into.
