What's Buzz-worthy: I managed to find one of these Walmart boxes ($37.98) which give you a Pink parallel pack and some safety in your pack volume to do some chasing of key Rookie Cards and others in this A+ release. This box felt a little flat on the base cards and the rookies weren't all that flashy, either, as I had premium box expectations here. (Or at least hopes as it was the last box of this format on the shelf.) Not this time. The Pinks started strong with Doncic and Chamberlain but I got a dud otherwise with not one rookie in that pack. Do the math and you should have roughly a one in 30-box shot at Zion Williamson or any other particular rookie in this format in Pink -- so that's interesting and it could mean big wins if the rookie can run in groups. (It could be possible since they were elusive here.) What did make this box interesting -- and I haven't gone back to compare it to others out there -- is that every insert in this box was actually a Prizm parallel. That didn't happen in my Target Mega Box break and it's not stated that it could be the case here in every box. (Though I'd also note that the box also doesn't even note the pack volume here -- just that it's 50 cards.) So that helps this one's grade a little -- though it's a box that seems like it could have been flat otherwise. ... If you spot these in the wild, dig in -- and scout for the next wave, too, if you can. While it might be tempting to simply collect and hold boxes with this one, it's also a brand that's worth ripping into. They won't be all slam dunks but the potential is definitely there and the mega boxes do give you volume to take that shot statistically perhaps a little easier.
