What's Buzz-worthy: I've had my eye on trying this oddity for a while now and finally bit on a box this weekend. Why? I watched a case break of this one that coughed up a Reggie Jackson Rookie Card and a number of decent autographs including Jackson, William Shatner, Red Grange and O.J. Simpson atop other autos as well as some of the weirder cards I've ever seen such as automotive keys embedded into cards. I didn't land one of those (they're in roughly every third box) but I did land an autograph for a Pro Football Hall of Famer and member of the 1972 Miami Dolphins. This set revolves around everything happening in 1969 with countless nods to that year in varying ways. Cut autos are one in three boxes and also in the mix are coin cards, Shatner Relics (and relic autos), stamp cards and Vietnam War uniform relics that you see here. Each box has a pair of original 1969 baseball cards (both of mine being high-number cards and in decent shape other than centering) and stars are possible as the company bought a few complete sets for the release. Just 250 cases of this one were made so the base cards and parallels are on the rarer side -- but I'd rather have a little more volume there just to expand upon the concept a little more. The company also has a pair of bounties for those who take on the challenge of trying to build two of the parallel sets. I may try a jumbo box of this one (basically a few more hits) of this one at some point though all I think I really want from one of these is a key card from a certain type of car from back in the day.
