What’s Buzz-worthy: Want an NFL blaster box that's jammed with plenty of cards and a boatload of Rookie Cards in their pro uniforms? This is one to consider and, as I said last time, they might dub this one The Home of the NFL Rookie Card it's that much. Literally half of the cards in these boxes are RCs and you'll get inserts and likely hits of rookies atop that. I didn't land ink like my first blaster but I did get a few notables from this new season and some decent names overall. About my only bummer here is a hit for a rookie who hasn't yet played. I really like the look of this one's base set and the base cards include a 100-card rookie presence. As I said last time, the design of this one is strong to me -- a 1990s feel with a crisp use of foil-stamping and a design that includes last year's as well as career stat totals. The rookies and inserts are on foilboard so they jump out at you quickly. This one looks like it's a pretty strong one for retail after there were some really, really dry blasters on that front in some past years. If you didn't land a hit, you were in trouble in the past. Meanwhile, this year it's a guarantee and ink is clearly possible. Hobby boxes remain a hits-driven approach but if you like standard RCs this is a box to consider.
