What’s Buzz-worthy: My final Buzz Break of the year is one that is perhaps my favorite low-end (at least for retail) NFL release of the year -- a brand so consistent with its delivery of Rookie Cards at high volume that the 32 you see below were all from my last box of this one. I pulled these exact 32 guys in both. That'a a pretty decent thing to happen here as it included Drew Lock, Gardner Minshew and Dwayne Haskins -- though I'm not sure I've still pulled some of the other notables through several boxes. My mem card this time wasn't a rookie -- which seems to be not-the-norm for this format. Now, why rip into these? Here's my take from last time ... Remember how Donruss boxes were readily available a couple years ago but now are pretty hot because of all those Rookie Cards you can find inside? Well, there's not yet a Patrick Mahomes in this one (at least in my book), there are a boatload of basic RCs in every single box here. That can translate a couple ways -- a lot of stuff to collect and a pretty run rip for a low price or a home of easy profits later if a rookie blows up. These blasters have stuff only found here and the volume is so good it doesn't even matter in my eyes if you get a weaker box -- you get a decent box due to the volume. This box had some highlights but wasn't a big one ... at least not yet. ... This NFL brand has been one of my go-to releases for retail since the boxes are absolutely stacked with Rookie Cards -- half of the cards in the box -- and the design is a crisp one with a good amount of detail that I like. These are consistent in terms of what they deliver, making them a safe break. Hobby is an easy go-to for hits ... this one is a go-to f0r a solid sleeper.
