What's Buzz-worthy: My last one of these was loaded up with a 1/1 Silhouette auto and a rare parallel of the likely top pick in this year's draft. This one? It's an A+ box as well as it delivered a rare patch auto of the second pick in last year's draft as well as an extra hit. The Witt card alone makes the box but the overall package here is one that works well -- plenty of hits, not a lot of base from a relatively small set -- for a solid price. There are others here who are working their way toward MLB or will be drafted this year among my hits ... so it's a box with potential beyond the right now. The Witt pays for the box, maybe more, but others could be in demand here, too. ... With all of the new and returning collectors to the hobby these days spending big on, well, everything, USA Baseball might be one to look toward for a fun collector experience on the cheaper side that can deliver well as players work their way into draft status out of high school (USA sets can include 15U players), the college ranks or into the minors or majors. There's decent shelf life here compared to a lot of prospect releases and the crop of players is as good as it gets. There were 15 USA Baseball alums drafted in the first round last year -- and seven of those went in the first nine picks. They had USA cardboard first. This box shows how you can land quality without breaking the bank.
