What's Buzz-worthy: This brand is a retail-only creation for Target and it's one that delivers a pair of hits every time in this format. The design is often a colorful and frenzied one but this year's seems a little more bright vs. last year and that bumps it up a tad to me. It's a release loaded with rookies so that also helps out a lot and you can land rookie ink as well as Rookie Cards in this one. There are also parallels that are easy to spot here -- look for foilboard and numbering -- and the inserts also stand out from the wild pack. Only drawback? Knowing what those sets are called isn't obvious at all without having a wrapper handy to figure them out based on the card numbering. Some of the insert sets work really well and their concepts would be even bolder (obvious) if they were noted even with a small line on the back noting the set. Check out that checklist link above for the names you can find -- it's pretty strong -- and the gallery below gives you a glimpse at a little bit of everything. The auto I pulled here was a tougher one -- one in 215 packs -- but it's not all that more dynamic than the rest of the box. I still liked this one better than last year, though I will admit that the design is a little different than my typical likes. That said, I think this one could have some longer-term sleepers for key cards and key guys as retail-exclusives can sometimes tend to be tougher finds than the typical stuff in hobby boxes.
