What's Buzz-worthy: This is easily among my favorite GPK releases -- so much so I've opened more than one box despite landing much what I would have wanted to without doing so. ... I just wanted more. It's loaded with nods to stuff you should remember from not that long ago -- check out the huge gallery below. ... As said before, cartoons, comics, fads, fashion, films, musicians, celebs, news-makers, politicians, toys, video games and TV shows from the 1990s get the GPK takedown here and it's a collection of subjects that seem masterfully spoofed. The formula here is similar to past years -- one numbered parallel in the typical box of this one with longer odds on autographs and sketch cards. The collector's boxes deliver more inserts and some type of guaranteed hit but this one is a solid basic set to me. So many cool subjects here -- everything from The Big Lebowski to Image Comics and Dennis Rodman get GPK'd and it works well. The main box image isn't celeb-based (it's for the fashion of ripped jeans not a grunge music icon), but don't let that one dictate what you think -- check out that gallery. This one gets an A+ from me.
