What's Buzz-worthy: I generally like the approach of this one -- a small box with seven packs, a guaranteed hit and a generally affordable price. The breakdown is basically the same as last year with the inserts also nearly mirroring last year but with one notable difference in this particular box's mix -- there were no Rookie Cards. There are 13 RCs in the set, though, just not here. Two rarer cards bailed out this rookie-less box in terms of their odds -- the Class 3 Blue is one in 45 packs and the hit here is a parallel that's one in 56. Landing a Corbin Burnes auto is -- at least to me right now -- like watching a Baron Corbin match in WWE. (It's there ... but I just don't want it to be and somebody out there somewhere likes the Corbins, right?) That's fine, that happens -- that's the nature of box formats like this one. You'll have cheaper guys balancing out the big ones on the autograph checklist -- and it's a quick rip that can leave a great impression or a not-that-great one. That comes with the territory here. Aesthetically, I like the feel and printing of this one but do wish the secondary player image was scaled back or somehow de-emphasized a tad to not compete as much with the main photo. In some instances, it looks like a two-headed monster on your card -- not a big deal as it's a bit of a nod to the original feel of some of the older Gold Label cards. All in all, its price and what it offers makes it a somewhat comfortable break and this year's rookie class could help there being some decent boxes out there.
