What's Buzz-worthy: Forget that past box of this one I ripped -- that was a dud -- and this one made up for it. Nothing I found here was huge per se, but an autograph is one in 74 packs, while the short-prints are one in 20 and the Bazookas are one in 76. Atop that, exclusive parallels for Soto and Ohtani. Combined they make this a solid A-box in my book, though it's an A that could be outdone probably quite easily. ... As said before, this Walmart find ($34.98) follows the exact pattern as last year's special retail box did in 2018 though the results can be hit and miss. Your best bet by far here is hobby with two autographs per box and a better flow of the variations. This is a brand that could use some simple touches like modern stat lines to give it a modern-vintage feel that I think it's working toward with its rich colors and new inclusions such as hobby Chrome box-topper packs. Yet it feels like it comes up a tad short. You get more volume with these boxes but they don't feel all that flashy -- not even compared to the Heritage mega boxes. Hobby is the way to go with this one unless you need to finish off a set or aren't sure and just want to sample -- then the mega might be your route to success at retail. There are good things possible here -- they'll just take some luck to land. One other thought to finish on, though ... the mystery autograph A redemption here could be huge once announced (it's gotta be Vladdy 2.0). I'd chase those in hobby, too.
