What's Buzz-worthy: There's not been a whole lot of subtle with the Topps Holiday designs the last few years, but this one takes things up a notch with a bold color choice for the borders and type and adds other holiday touches to make this one an even stronger release with more chase factor that's not impossible and actually pretty fun and appropriate for the holiday theme. You get Metallic parallels once again here, but there are also three tiers of variations where holiday elements have been added to photos. In some instances, players are swinging candy cane bats, some are throwing snowballs, some are wearing santa hats, some have trees added to the backgrounds and others have lights on their bats, stockings, scarfs, carrying presents and so on. The easiest ones are one in seven packs (I landed two) while the next tier is one in 20. The rarest of them is one in 161. You can see them all noted on the checklist above. Atop this, there are hits -- autos and Relics as well as some photo-shoot Relics you can see teased on the side of the box. The checklist is a mix of all three series for flagship this year and there are RCs aplenty -- I landed a couple of the keys -- and this Walmart-only release is one that could prompt people to rip more than they have since those new guys are here and there's more to chase this year. All in all, I like this one -- and I bought plenty of this in past years. This time, it's just taken up a notch.
