What's Buzz-worthy: I wasn't totally sold on this design this year so a miniature version of it wasn't super-appealing when it presented itself on its face but the inclusion of some autographed cards, particularly autographed booklets of some top rookies, got me to bite. And it was gone before I could second-guess it or even think about a second-helping. This box, the first of two I opened, opened with a bang with a 1/1 card right on the top of the pack and three other parallels on the rarer side of the parallel mix than not. The Pinks are the easiest parallels and all other colors were seen here, too, if you include the Platinum. I didn't land any of the bigger Rookie Cards from this 1,000-card set that includes Series 1, Series 2 and Topps Update all in one place but it still felt like a solid box with the rainbow of inserts. Could there be better boxes? Yes. This one felt solid, though, and felt like it delivered well. My second box wasn't as strong as this one but it, too, wasn't bad. These boxes are a tad oldschool in that the set size dictates a good box a little more than the norm. If you happen to land a good name, you should know it in terms of the card's value with just three percent of the set in every meaty pack. If you manage to buck the odds and land a big name as a parallel? Big, big win ...
