What's Buzz-worthy: These sets just started to arrive in collectors' hands after they managed to find a card like the one up top in a pack of 2019 Topps Now Futures World Series cards last year. If you don't remember the program, basically this first series was all about predicting the winning team last season -- if you pulled one of the cards made showing players on that team, then you win what's noted on the card back. Mine was good for a Chrome set limited to 199 copies while other finds may have been sets with autographs or rarer parallel colors. The break of this one was interesting at first as the cards, which I believe are some of the first Chromes done in any way relating to Topps Now or a smaller online-format release, are printed on some thick stock and actually came in two of the familiar black-folder packets instead of one. (Initially, I thought I might have accidentally received two sets.) About the only surprise here is that the cards all have varying serial numbers -- otherwise, pretty standard stuff. I like the concept here -- I wish I would have dabbled more with the award-winners release and won something (I struck out) but Patrick Corbin didn't let me down -- better to have landed something than nothing.
