What's Buzz-worthy: My second one of these delivered one of the RCs I'd want to see in every box (and that's not all that unreasonable considering you get a quarter of the base set every time) and it delivered one of the bigger prospect names this year in Jasson Dominguez and then a rarer one-in-80-pack Farm to Fame insert of a Hall of Famer, though it came with back surface and edge damage. (It happens.) My RC presence here might be slightly ahead of my last box that had ink so with the insert and the rarity it still feels about the same grade-wise. An A but not super-flashy. Not much else here to say beyond what I thought last time ... it's something different out in the retail wild -- at least for the five minutes that they were on the shelf -- that you haven't seen much of in recent years at Walmart. You get just base cards with no inserts in the basic packs -- kind of like some of the stripped down retail packs out there for some brands from some companies -- with the only chase here appearing to be in the Mega Box packs. (Those have odds, the standard packs do not.) The Refractors start at one in 12 ... so one in six boxes ... there. Dawn of Glory inserts should drop in every box while the Farm to Fame cards are one in 80 packs and image variations are also in play at tougher rates. The autographs are one in nine packs -- so every fifth box -- and parallels are far tougher there as well. These boxes carry a bit of a premium price -- $35 -- and will sell well like everything Bowman and Chrome this year but if you're expecting ink or color regularly that won't be happening. This seems like something to help satisfy collectors more than ripper/flippers but I'm betting they'll still leave nothing for the kids. The standard version of this is a hobby-only release but this one is probably the company's easiest way to get some new stuff out on retail shelves to help meet demand -- though it appears this one may have been planned out, too, with on-card autos. All in all, it's a decent option to look for if looking for a rip, but with 25 base cards per box and a 100-card set, you could see some base volume piling up fast if you rip several boxes. All in all, I'd rather have this one show up than not ... because the way shelves are still being cleared there will be many people who never even see it.
