What's Buzz-worthy: Want a super-consistent box and brand year after year? It's perhaps this one at the retail aisle and this is a box that delivered largely the same as they have for me for several years now. It's not super-flashy and it's small but you get a hit every time -- with ink possible -- and Green parallels that are retail only. This one included a numbered RC -- typically not the norm -- and my hit was a retired star. All in all this box was fine but not super-flashy -- a pair of McCaffrey inserts certainly helped here but my RC had damage that no other cards did, which was odd. The names in the base set were strong, too, but the design feels a little overbearing to me this year and the foilboard feel feels a little different, not as good as recent years. I'll probably do some more if it presents itself but I only did this one during its first week on my retail shelves as there were others to shred into in volume (Chronicles NBA) and some other new arrivals. With the hit in every box and some strong rookies potentially in there, these should get a look.
