What’s Buzz-worthy: My second blaster of this release delivered one of the new twists for this year -- a Rise and Shine magnet card tucked into the box (unsleeved) in lieu of a pack with a hit. Did it do a lot for me? Not really ... perhaps had I landed a better player or a rookie I'd be more excited. Did it make or break the box? Not really. I do like something different, though I'm not sure it's on the same level as a hit. I wouldn't mind seeing stuff like this appearing in every box for some releases as some type of dramatically different inclusion in some formats. (Oversized box-toppers appearing in some releases out there feels like this, too.) The highlights in my mind for this one were the Canvas Rated Rookie and a Tom Brady Bucs appearance that's not all that expensive but definitely stands out. As I mentioned before, the overall insert volume is too low for my taste in this format but that is made up for over in hanger boxes. This format seems to be more rookie-driven, so if that's what you're ripping for go to it here.  The overall approach here is familiar and within the formula of recent years for Donruss but this year's design is simple and stronger than last year if you ask me, so that's why it gets a slightly higher grade.
