What's Buzz-worthy: I still have not seen 2021 NASCAR in the wild, so here's a perhaps-final look at 2020, which is a break packed with variety and overall a pretty fun rip because of that. You get an Optic-stock card in every non-hit pack here and a hit in every box. This one is heavy on parallels that stand out from the rest here -- orange a key color -- but those are not alone. You get plenty of inserts and a few sets have varying foilboard parallels in play atop that. Numbered cards seem to fall one per blaster, too, based on my experience but this one wasn't all that rare. My run of base cards was pretty dry but the star power was apparent with my inserts here and the Optic lineup was strong, too. As I noted before, the subsets are a heavy part of the machinery here as the 200-card base set is broken up in a few ways via a familiar approach -- Race Kings, Rated Rookies, drivers, cars and then Retro cardboard using the 1987 Donruss MLB design. All in all, this is a comfortable format that delivers pretty well -- and there's good potential for the price as ink appears to be possible among hits here, too.
