What's Buzz-worthy: My first look at these was a little delayed by my standards this year -- they didn't leave any for the kids ... or for me -- but last week's retail reload was apparently dominated by the mega boxes of this one. Was it worth it getting my hands on blasters? With this particular box, I think so with a good rookie parallel presence (which may be the norm based on my two boxes) and at least a couple notables in there this time. Walmart boxes are the home of Purple Shock (Target has Pink) which isn't my favorite color here ... but Purple color is better than no color at all. I prefer the blasters with hits -- those have been a staple for me since 2017 but they may not be arriving as the megas are a hit per this year. Tweaks to formulas are likely to be expected post-COVID and with so many just clearing shelves no matter what is in them. Just like I said last year, there's solid potential if you can land a key name in a key spot here between the parallels. The rookie crop may not have scorched as much as was (unreasonably) expected but there is still a boatload of potential here ... remember That Mahomes Guy didn't play much as a rookie. There's still a good chunk of NFL to come and we're going to see 2021 stuff soon, too, so while there's so much in play you might find some bargains if you can't find wax. My second box you'll see here soon) wasn't as strong so I don't feel too bad about not grabbing more ... but if I see them I might. Optic (and Donruss) has been a go-to brand for me for basic football collecting in recent years and it will be hard to not go there more if I can.
