What's Buzz-worthy: I've seen some out there trying to do the big-flip on these boxes but I'd a tad skeptical of double- or triple-money moves on this one. Why? It seems like it's much more of a collector brand with big-hit potential far more likely in the premium-priced hobby boxes that have four autos and two mem in every two-pack box. These two-pack boxes? One hit of some type is guaranteed but this one does seem like its stronger if you want a box that will deliver a solid amount of inserts -- the base cards are in the definite minority here. Blasters are the home to Spectrum Blue parallels as well as Rookie Threads cards (as well as duals) with the rest of the stuff here being inserts or parallels of inserts. The mem cards here wasn't a flashy one, but one thing I did notice was that it was cleanly cut with none of the issues you might recall on some thick-stock cards of the past. This box had some names but the best names were in the inserts -- if you happen upon a box with star power among the base or parallels and then the inserts, too? Well, it could do pretty good in the short-term -- over the long haul I think the numbered stuff and the hits will be the heavier-sought cards later. Anything is possible, but I'd rip these for cheap fun with some upside -- rip into those hit-loaded hobby boxes (or a single pack there) for some chase and more-realistic big-flip potential.
Product Grade: B+
