What's Buzz-worthy: My revisiting this one last month got me wanting more ... so I grabbed a couple more. This one? It had near-identical results as last time with 18 of the 19 SPs the same cards. Not a big deal to get Danted -- they're all not supposed to be there, anyway. (If you get that, good on you.) The rest was also nearly the same for what was found, not who, with a hit (not always in here) once again being a "Who?" guy to me like some other boxes ... but I'll take it over not at all. ... These over-deliver and what do I mean by that? Well it seems that a lot if not most Diamond Kings blasters from this one have nearly all short-printed cards inside while also over-delivering on inserts. They aren't the super-flashiest of rips (and this botch doesn't help values a lot) but I don't mind them at all with this approach, which has the volumes of SPs vs. base cards essentially flipped. Instead of getting two or three SPs per box, this one included just three base cards and the rest were from Nos. 101-170, which are the short-printed cards for this brand and then inserts. ... This kind of issue can make one wonder if any other types of cards will over-deliver -- one forum member said they got two hits in a blaster long ago while less than half of my blasters here had hits. ... If you're a set-builder, a hobby box and a handful of these should get you everything on the base set and perhaps good run on a non-parallel master set. These are also over-delivering big on the insert cards as preview info for blasters only indicated the four Blue cards and a single insert per box. ... This brand is a colorful one jam-packed with stars from the past and present with some big names among the mem cards so it could be one to watch as more people open these. Hobby boxes (link up top) are your best bet with guaranteed hits but if you like to dabble with the chance at something more for a low price then the blasters are worth a look. You never know how they might (over) deliver. I really like this one in nearly all ways, though this particular blaster was lean in spots with the best names. I'll rip more if I find more and the price is right.
Product Grade: A
Box Grade: B (should be a lot of good boxes with the mispack)
Fun Grade: B (I have landed better names in these)
