What's Buzz-worthy: I know most of you are buying Prizm for Rookie Cards and colorful parallels but there's a pretty big difference here this year vs. last year -- you don't get a memorabilia card in every blaster in 2020. They are still only found in blasters -- but not in every box -- and that makes what you find in the rest of the box even more important if you're looking to rip and sell. (That said, flippers are doing unusually well on unopened blasters right now.) What you are guaranteed in this format are Lazer Prizms typically five per box and then three Rookie Cards. Sometimes those Lazers will be rookies, too. This one? The Lazers and the RCs were really the only highlights with Claypool and Higgins names of some note here. The Rodgers and Love appearances on Lazers also was ironic. All in all, this one is reflective of Prizm as the set is big here -- 300 veterans topped by 100 rookies. You can get a box where stars line up together or they could run dry in those base cards. Blasters are the home to Silver, Red, Blue and Lazer Prizms and it doesn't appear that the inserts are paralleled here based on the inclusions panel on the box. This one will (and already is) a scorcher but I think I'll dabble with a box or two at most of most formats for this one when they arrive at retail and call it done for me personally. I think I like this design better than last year but will dabble more with Optic. Prizm is always a favorite but it doesn't always deliver as much variety and fun stuff in a box -- Prizm is a little stingier and that helps the secondary values atop high demand. Without the hit this year as a safety net, I might look to the hangers for a little more variety, though they appear to have fewer Rookie Cards. Best advice? Grab it if you find it or do hobby for the safest rip.
