What's Buzz-worthy: This sequel to the 2018 release arrived at retail just last week and these boxes have a slightly different feel but some of the same unusual and varied possibilities as the previous release. What's different this time? There are just five clear-wrapper packs in this one (one mini insert per) and then a hits pack -- and this time the hits pack includes a pair of Blue parallels as well as the chase card. Possible hits here include autographs, memorabilia, original art cards, cut signatures, sketch cards and Grand Patch pieces. There are some heavyweights as you can see here -- Babe Ruth, Bill Russell, Emmitt Smith, Drew Brees, Vince Carter -- but the small set still felt a little lean based on this rip. It's a tiny set with numbering that picks up where the first series left off. The cards are nicely printed on retro-style, gloss-free stock but there might be some bottom center edge wear on cards from packaging at times and the Blues show off fuzzy edges (from the stock) well. My hit this time was a nice flannel piece from a pair of pants for a former All-Star who last played in the early 1960s and you can see the item on the card. For the price, this is a decent break with potential if you are lucky as there are some strong possibilities -- click here for the First Buzz preview. If you want a better chance at the bigs, rip into a hobby box for sure where you get at least three and likely four hits and then the basic cards are a lot rarer than their retail counterparts.
Product Grade: A- (base set size seems small and this box seemed lean ... but overall the inclusions are good)
Box Grade: B
Fun Grade: B
