What's Buzz-worthy: I thought I had opened some of this one but ... I may not have until now. With these recently in some deep sales, I bit on a pair of these. Why? The third series of this one is all top stars of the minor league ranks and all players are shown in MiLB jerseys save for those who don't have dramatic differences between the big-league club and the MiLB affiliate. (I note that since my best card, an off-centered Bobby Witt Jr., is one of those exceptions.) There are variations here that use the city names instead of team mascots but otherwise the main chase here is the parallels -- you get a pair of back variations per pack and both packs here were the default Piedmont version. Beyond Witt, there are some other notables that made me bite -- Julio Rodriguez and Wander Franco -- who both eluded me this time. Those names perhaps along with the MiLB power helped this one sell 28,225 packs and some rough math (excluding variants, which would lower this number there could be as Manu as 4,500 copies per card here in this 50-card set. Not that rare and, really, nothing here is too pricey but that's fine by me. I like the unique look and feel for these MiLB cards. With seven types of parallels here, the right name in one of those spots should pay for the pack as regular ones are decent as it is. There's also apparently an autograph chase but I never saw who was in this one but since they're long odds (if at all) I'll not dwell on it.
