What's Buzz-worthy: A Luis Robert base card appearance was the first thing to happen here and I thought that made it a decent box. But then when a mini version of his card popped up the box went to a strong A box. Then the bug card you see above popped out despite its one-in-50 odds and then a black-bordered SP mini that's one in 131 packs. ... so those things get this an A+ grade with me. (It's one that can be topped, of course.) Ginter blasters are tiny so they can feel like a dryer rip even with a good box. I've done five of these so far (posting in order) thanks to some good timing at the card aisle and these have delivered better than the odds more times than not, though everything I've pulled has not been of the big-money variety despite beating the odds. ... The design of this one is different -- I think it works well for the minis but I don't think I'd want to sort a bunch of base cards for this one. They do look better in-hand than in photos, though. ... This is a brand that's best busted by the case -- so you get the good boxes as well as the lesser ones (three hits every time but some will be Relic-heavy). Perhaps with the bigger blaster case size this one might offer some good volume ripping that direction, too. I've been a buster of this brand since 2006, so newer versions may not always grab me as much but some of the touches here and many of the surprises make this one a brand to always consider ripping for an MLB collector who doesn't mind the variety and weird stuff. After all, those are often the types of cards that can pay for more baseball stuff, too.
