What's Buzz-worthy: I spotted a straggler for this one and one last Chrome blaster on the shelf last night and grabbed them and, boy, did this one pay of huge -- so big the only thing rarer than that Austin card is a Superfractor version. How rare is it? One in 10,136 packs. (What?) That's one in 1,690 blasters. (What?) That's one in 43 cases assuming they are still 40 boxes per. (What? Yeah, I don't know why they upped the boxes to 40 this year ... they've been 20 for blaster cases for years.) Two other copies of this exact Austin card (of only five made) have sold on eBay with a high of $160 -- likely because it's a really good-looking card (some in the set aren't with the admittedly weird design). The Banks card is a solid one I would have tracked down eventually (those inserts are one in three blasters) while the rest of the parallels and most of the base here were a bit of a smackdown. Without that Austin or that banks, this would likely be an average box -- especially with zero RCs from a decent crop in this set. This one is a little more generous than Chrome with some of the color (neither are strong enough for my taste on that front) but Finest blasters have way over-delivered for me more times than they have not this year. When they deliver, they'll deliver well -- and that's happened for me three times out of four that you have seen here (so far). I'm sure I'm just on a heater but I really haven't opened many of these, either. They might be warmer than they should be but the easiest way to chase ink (two per box) is to hit hobby. Ink is where there are some solid cards to be found that will pay for your box. Ink here starts at one in 144 boxes ... not easy at all. Rip hobby while it's around and then grab these ... especially if they are the last one on the shelf?
