What's Buzz-worthy: I'm a big fan of the GPK releases with tight themes and pop culture ties with celebs being dragged by the Kids, so I may be harder on this one than the diehard collectors out there. This set in comprised of a few subsets that are made for the diehards -- All Grown Up (past Kids as adults), Snot Another Anniversary (past characters remade with a snot focus), 135th Anniversary Flash Forward, 35 Years of GPK (a new card for a past release ... and that gets us some movie and music nods here) and then some Battle of the Decades cards that get you some throwback nods. Most of these are over my head as I started with Series 5 and then perhaps dabbled slightly as a kid with just-before and just-after releases but haven't been much of a connoisseur other than some of the pop culture sets of late. This one's box is funny when you realize what it is for this $9.98 Walmart box and it includes some Midlife Crisis cards only found here. My GPK book sticker isn't mentioned anywhere on checklists so perhaps it's rare or perhaps it's not (it promotes a new book from R.L. Stine on the back). Here are hits possible here but with long odds. There are printing plates, artist autos, two types of sketch cards and then redemptions for original packs and a "Be A GPK" redemption that might get you among the Kids. All in all for the price, this is a solid way to build a set on the cheap.
