What's Buzz-worthy: This brand didn't wow me that much when I ripped a mega box at first arrival but I figured I'd give it another look with a smaller format -- but ultimately I'd stick to the bigger box, whether that's the mega or a hobby box depending on how much you like this one. Hobby is the way to go with guaranteed ink -- two per box -- meanwhile autographs start at one in 147 packs at retail. The feel of this one keeps with the pattern of the last couple of years for this retail box -- it can be very hit and miss. If you land key names in key spots, you'll be fine. If not? You might get a box similar to this, though I think mine was helped (some) by some names among the inserts. This is still a brand that could use some simple touches like modern stat lines to give it a modern-vintage feel -- the backs are just a sentence or two about the player. The design is on-par with the look of the brand in previous years but just didn't seem like that exciting of a rip. There are some big potential finds, though, but you'll have to beat the odds to get there. If you want to rip into this one, rip hobby with guaranteed ink making it pricier but safer along with more volume. It's not my favorite of what we've seen for MLB so far this year.
