What's Buzz-worthy: Statistically, this one was a winner as Chrome cards have long odds this year (one in 60 packs), but ultimately the selection of base cards was quite rough, leaving the biggest highlights to be the Benintendi SP and the Tatis -- not that big of a deal. My overall impression this year is that this one is an improvement over last year's first series -- and I like the 1971 design a bit better -- but the odds on more basic inserts can make for some lean results at times with smaller box formats like this one. ... Hit that link up top to see the variations galleries -- there's some fun stuff this year -- and see more of what I like in this one by clicking here. I'll rip more but I have a feeling you will have more safety in numbers -- either box formats with more packs (hobby or megas to come). I'd rip into a hobby box first as the price is solid and the volume of what you get should help balance out how the base set can run dry at times with big names hiding a little more in the SPs section of the set. Blaster boxes, which will be hit and miss, are my No. 2 option based on what I've ripped so far.
