What's Buzz-worthy: I ripped into my first blaster of this one this morning and was a tad shellshocked as to how the break felt with very few inserts. It turns out that hanger packs are likely to be even rougher. In two boxes here, I landed just four insert cards and the exact same number of base cards as my blaster -- but without the loaded rookie crop that helped that first break a lot as I got just one RC here. It didn't get much better as the star power was rough here -- unless you like Houston Astros postseason cards and cameos on league leaders cards. All in all, these two boxes (I only pre-ordered two instead of a tray of eight) were very rough with a lone highlight (odds-wise) being the Chrome card. (Ironically, the odds for the Mays and the Flashbacks aren't too easy, either at one in five and six respectively. That seems way too high for cards of this type and considering the price/size of these packs.) The odds on SPs here is decent, though, at one in two. (You can see the odds on everything in the gallery below.) This one, along with my blaster, reinforces to me that hobby boxes are quite possibly the best way to go with this one for the basic price. If you're wanting to build a 400-card base set cheaply, this might be an OK route to take -- but hobby boxes should also get you there, too.
