What's Buzz-worthy: While this one doesn't quite stack up to my A+ blaster box busted here on Friday, this format does seem to be the most-enticing one for a number of rippers based on the odds panel. You do get the most Turkey Red inserts here for the price (four cards here vs. seven in blasters at twice the price) and that's a key as it's a big set that's retail only. The Gold parallel here was a solid name and they drop one in three boxes here -- far more generous than hobby -- and it didn't hurt to land a Home Run Challenge card here, either, and those are one-per in hobby. The Rookie Card presence here also delivered quite well, though I think the RC parallels will be the biggest draw here this year. (Base RCs are going to be pretty plentiful but they are the ones slabbed and sold most 0ften.) All in all for a small box, this one delivered a pretty decent mix. It wasn't as dull as the pack-by-pack buildup of the hobby box but this one wasn't as solid as my A+ blaster. Your best luck for this format might come by tracking down a sealed tray of eight of these -- hopefully the odds align with the volume. On my local hunt it appears all formats of this one are popular in the first week on the shelves -- a good sign for anybody ripping into these and the Golden Ticket redemptions can be found in any format. Want more thoughts on this one and to see even more? Check out my hobby box break here.
Product Grade: A
Box Grade: A- (solid Gold, Home Run Challenge and some solid rookies ... an A box that can be topped)
Fun Grade: B
